Glass House

Regional Queensland
2, 239 m²
5 bedrooms and bathrooms

With absolute beach-front access, the home was originally built in the 1970's and was under renovation for our client when KG Design came on board.

Having previously worked with the client in the UK, KG Design was entrusted to complete the renovation in their absence. The owners are avid cooks with young children, so the kitchen was the first redesign to take into account the marine location. New joinery and benchtops, appliances and a linen-based mural, hand-drawn and coloured by Amanda Ferragamo, sits behind toughened glass. The kitchen also
features a servery that opens to a luxurious outdoor sitting area overlooking the beach and ocean. Existing flooring was sanded and recoloured. The master bathroom was redesigned and finishes. All other ensuite bathrooms were left in tact. New furniture and wall coverings were sourced including a gorgeous piece from MJ Alterier in Los Angles.
