OUR INTERIOR DESIGN PROCESS

INITIAL MEETING

It takes insight, expertise and imagination to turn your vision into reality.

The Keeley Green Interior Design team work by your side to create individual interiors that are as functional as they are beautiful.

From the beginning, KGID takes a personal approach to better understand your interior design wants and needs.

PREPARING FOR OUR MEETING

In preparation for our initial meeting, we will send you a questionnaire to complete.

This provides insight into your project, preferences and overall requirements.

We ask that you also share any floor plans, architectural plans and photos.

Depending on the size and scope of the project, if plans aren’t available, measurements may be taken on site or a full survey organised.

DURING OUR MEETING

During our initial meeting, we get to know your vision, ideas and expectations.

The KGID team will use this time to learn more about your lifestyle, tastes and preferences, who uses your spaces and how and any specific needs such as accessibility, light or site issues.

We will introduce our ideas and suggestions and this time allows you to ask any questions about the design process.

AFTER WE'VE MET

All of the information shared and discussed in the initial meeting will be used by the KGID team to develop a design brief.

Depending on the size and scope of a project, there may be several further meetings before the design brief is finalised.

MOVING FORWARD

At Keeley Green Interior Design, we like to divide each project into four stages.

The requirements for each of these stages are discussed during our initial meeting and form the basis of a fee proposal for your project.

STAGE 1:

Preliminary Design

Once the design brief is finalised, the KGID team will develop a conceptual design for your project, using mood boards and other visual references to illustrate our ideas and recommendations.

Based on your feedback, a preliminary design scheme will be developed.

This is likely to include:

  • Space planning, floor plans and furniture layouts

  • Furniture and lighting suggestions

  • Colour and fabric palettes

  • Other architectural changes/suggestions

  • Provisional budget costs.

STAGE 2:

Detailed Design

During this stage every element of the design is defined and specified in detail (including building specifications)*

Through a process of presentations and discussions, all materials, colours, fabrics, furniture, lighting, structural and decorative changes are specified and planned.

The documentation produced during this stage details all of the works required, so contractors can use them for quotation purposes.

Note: While Keeley is passionate about seeing her designs through to completion, after this stage, clients may opt to manage, source and co-ordinate the project themselves.

STAGE 3:

Procurement

In this stage, each element of the design is costed and comparative quotes for works and materials will be obtained from Keeley Green Interior Designs' trusted specialist trade contacts.

Depending on the complexity of the project, this phase may involve architects and quantity surveyors and the building project may go out for tender.

STAGE 4:

Project Realisation

Depending on the scope of works, either alone or as part of a team, we oversee every aspect of your project including timing, scheduling, co-ordinating trades, site meetings and quality control.

From start to finish, we ensure your perfect interior is delivered on time and on budget and finished to the highest standard.
